What fun it was to follow Melanie on her 2005 Iditarod Journey.  Here are some articles and photos that I kept updated  during the race.  Thanks to all who contributed!  - Esther Golton, friend and website creator

Melanie finished in Nome at 9:02 AM, Thursday, March 17, 2005, in 23rd place!

 "I didn't mean to be (first)," she said. "But it was kind of fun to look out and see no sled marks in front of me."
